BOOK COVER DESIGN
KICK ASS CONDITIONING is a training manual teaching the simple methods used by the fittest fighters, grapplers and martial artists in the world.
The job took around 4 variations before settling on a design which was quite simple compared to the earlier versions. The client was looking for a design similar to the vintage boxing posters of the Muhamed Ali era and also the current UFC style posters of today.
The 1st design was more visual in your face which the client was not too keen on, wanting more of a conditioning feel we redesigned the cover with softer colours with a rugged, worn out effect and vector images of people exercising. The client liked this design but wanted a solid white background with a single silhouette, we designed a silhouette and kept the design quite simple as not too bombard the potential buyer with too much information and images.
We also designed the spine & the back cover.
